:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from enigma-2 -- Change your life and be happy : Looking back on the last 50 years of my life, one of best things that ever happened to me was my wife's uncle telling me to buy and read this book. That was a year before I shipped out for Vietnam. ( Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2018 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Sarah -- It's an easy read and gives seven basic principles on saving and ... : I buy this book by the case and give it to all the young people (14-25) in my neighborhood. It's an easy read and gives seven basic principles on saving and investing money. I was raised on the 10% rule and have passed it on to the next generation. It is written in parable form, so it's interesting as well as instructive. I highly recommend this book of wisdom for the youth in anyone's life. ( Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2018 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Wesley Angel -- The Only Book to Guarantee Wealth : I've read this book many times and I try to read it every year so as to refresh my memory and ensure my path. When I first read this, it was an amazing epiphany and I immediately took action. I was broke, about to lose my house, and looking for a way out of the hole I'd dug myself into. The rules within this book works well! I live in Hawaii now, in a nice suburban house, without worry of money. I am always surprised when I'm handed my next paycheck because I no longer count the days to each. Many thanks to the writer, the translator, the archeologist, and of course, the Babylonians! - 1.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- DON'T BUY THIS NOW REVISED & UPDATED FOR THE 21ST CENTURY VERSION!!! PLEASE!!! : Just thought I should write this review as a warning to others. The Richest Man in Babylon is one of my favorite books. It's a great "back to the basics" look at finances. When I'm off with my finances, I dig out my copy of this book. I thought about doing a study group with some members of my church. So, I wanted to check this one out because the "Now Revised and Updated for the 21st Century" part of the title led me to believe that it would be a more modern version maybe removing the thee's and thou's... kinda like an NIV vs KJV of the Bible. I WAS MISTAKEN!!! ( Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2016 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Tyler Pfaffenbach -- Read it. : Do yourself a favor and buy this dang book. The lesson(s) in it are priceless and I would have gladly paid more for the insightful words within it. This book has catapulted me into reading many more books on the subject of Finance and I wish I would have done it much, much sooner. ( Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2018 )
- 1.0 out of 5 stars from Jesse H. -- Not for the modern, scientific millennial or people in general : This book was written like a religious text, the bible for instance, not based on objective facts. It cites no modern day individuals who actually lived and earned large sums of wealth. For all the reader knows, the author could have scribbled down his opinions and combined them into a story supposedly based on ancient texts. An individual who likes to read text phrased like scripture would enjoy this book, however, I still could not recommend this book to them as the author makes no effort to establish his own credibility or that of the individuals in the book. For this reason, I can only assume that all of the information presented in this book is fictional and therefore untrue. I would instead recommend Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Millionaire Next Door, or The Total Money Makeover. ( Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2019 )

- 3.0 out of 5 stars from J Cro -- 3 stars does not mean it is a bad book. Definitely worth a read : 3 stars does not mean it is a bad book. Definitely worth a read, especially if you are interested in personal finance without the droll of a finance textbook. Three stars means that the beginning of the book was far stronger than the end, and after halfway the information started repeating a bit and the anecdotes were not as compelling as the beginning ones. However, this book was definitely unique and a quick read with lots of good information that still holds truth now. ( Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2018 )

- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Deepshekhar -- A very famous book written on wealth... : Great book! The author, writes about the wisdom of wealth possessed by ancient Babylonians. All historians agree with the fact that babylon was the richest of all of the ancient kingdoms, although it was located in the middle of a dry, arid desert. The information contained in this book is acquired by the careful transliteration of the ancient clay tablets discovered by archeologists over the many years after the discovery of the ruins of this once great kingdom in ancient mesopotamia. The first section deals with advice on money-making by a very rich & powerful man named Arkad. He is undoubtedly the richest man in Babylon for he even lends gold to the emperor in the times of crisis. The later half describes tales which are directly taken from the ancient tablets, all containing profound financial advice on the art of wealth-incremement. ( Reviewed in India on August 27, 2018 )
